It happens to all of us. Unfortunately, when going through a divorce, overwhelmed seems to be one’s state of life. I happened upon this Psalm when I was having one of “those” days. Praying it never fails to pick up my spirits and refresh my hope. Try it for yourself whenever you need an extra boost to get you through tough times.

I called to the Lord in my distress;
he answered and freed me.
The Lord is at my side; I do not fear.
what can man do against me?
The Lord is at my side as my helper:
I shall look down on my foes. – Psalm 118:5-7
