“My divorce was the best thing that ever happened to me!” exclaimed a joyful Sharon during a Recovering from Divorce session. That is an odd perspective and I asked her to explain it. She went on to say that her life has done a complete transformation since her divorce. She has returned to her faith with zeal and really feels Christ’s presence in her life. She has changed many of her sinful ways, and her life is filled with purpose and peace.

The truth is that the divorce was not the best thing that ever happened to her, Christ was. The divorce was simply a trigger that, through tragedy, woke her up to a life in Christ. It was the “happy fault” that caused her life to collide with Christ. And, oh how happy she is that it did!
