Anticipation

Remember what it was like as a kid on Christmas Eve? All day you were overflowing with excitement and anticipation. Time slowed to a crawl. Minutes seemed like hours. It was as if Christmas was never going to arrive. But it always did, bursting forth with giddy satisfaction and happiness over the gifts we had been hoping for and finally received.

Each of us was created by God for a great purpose. Sometimes events in our lives can make us forget that. May the gift you receive this Christmas be a reminder of your sense of purpose. And may this purpose cause you to look forward to the future with the same excitement and anticipation you had as a child for the great things God has in store for you. No matter your past, it can’t take away the purpose for which you were created. Live it!

They were overjoyed at seeing the star, and on entering the house they saw the child with Mary his mother. – Matthew 2:10-11
